MoneyFinder Terms of Service

Welcome to MoneyFinder. These MoneyFinder Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form a contract between you and MoneyFinder (“we” or “us”) that governs your use of MoneyFinder and its related content and services. The Terms also explain how our service works and the guidelines that help us provide this service to you. Please read them carefully so you know what to expect when you use MoneyFinder, and so that you are aware of the conditions and requirements that apply to your use. As we add new features and functions to MoneyFinder, we may also update the Terms from time to time.

MoneyFinder is a for-profit service created in collaboration with WorkMoney. We help people reduce their phone, internet, and cable bills by reviewing their bills, identifying savings opportunities, and negotiating directly with service providers on their behalf. Additional bill types may be added in the future, but are not supported today.

Please note that if you do not agree to these Terms, you are not permitted to use MoneyFinder or receive our related services.

1. Eligibility and Use of the Service

You must be at least 18 years old and located in the United States to use MoneyFinder. You agree to provide accurate and truthful information when creating an account, uploading bills, and communicating with us. Uploading bills that do not belong to you or your household, altering documents, attempting to impersonate or misrepresent your relationship with any other person or entity, and/or providing false or misleading information is not allowed.

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-sublicensable, and non-transferable license to use and access our Money Finder platform for your lawful personal use.

As a condition of using MoneyFinder, you may not: (a) use our services to create (or assist in the creation of) any product or service which competes with MoneyFinder; (b) attempt to disassemble or reverse-engineer any part of the MoneyFinder service or platform; (c) attempt to resell or redistribute MoneyFinder to any third party; (d) disable or circumvent any security protocol or feature of MoneyFinder; (e) remove of obscure any proprietary rights notice on MoneyFinder's service or platform; (f) engage in any data mining, botting, or similar data gathering or extraction on MoneyFinder's service or platform; or (g) use MoneyFinder for any fraudulent, tortious, or illegal purpose.

2. How MoneyFinder Works

MoneyFinder can help you lower your monthly bills for phone, internet, and cable services.

You start by completing a questionnaire. This step is required for both the free DIY savings experience and for full service negotiations.

You can choose to:

  • Use our free DIY savings tools to review cost saving tips and attempt to negotiate savings on your own, or
  • Submit your bill for full service negotiation by a MoneyFinder negotiator.

When you choose full service:

  • You upload a recent, clearly readable, and complete bill.
  • Our system uses AI to scan and extract the information needed for negotiation.
  • A human negotiator reviews the bill details, checks available offers and discounts, and contacts your service provider on your behalf to reduce your monthly cost.
  • If the provider requires you to verify your identity or approve a change, we will schedule a time to conference you into the call, usually by phone or text.
  • After negotiation, we share a summary of the changes and the savings secured.

We may act as your representative when speaking with providers, similar to a personal assistant. We do not impersonate you.

Negotiators may make changes to your plan if those changes reduce your bill. These changes may include switching to a lower cost plan, applying available promotions, or removing unnecessary add-ons. Where required, we will obtain your approval and authorization to make these changes before they go into effect.

If the provider does not offer savings after reasonable attempts, or otherwise refuses to cooperate or respond, we may close the case and no charge will apply.

3. Unsupported Services

MoneyFinder does not currently negotiate categories outside phone, internet, and cable. Unsupported uploads, such as medical or insurance bills, will be politely declined. Additional bill types may be added later. We have sole discretion to determine which types of bills we will accept or decline to service, and whether or not to provide service for any individual bill or vendor.

4. Your Responsibilities

To help us negotiate effectively, you agree to upload recent bills that belong to you or someone in your household, provide any verification information required by your provider, and respond when we request clarification or additional details. You also agree to keep your contact information reasonably current and allow us to contact you by text or email about your case. You represent and warrant that all information that you provide to us is complete, timely, and accurate. We will not be responsible for any loss or liability that results from the incompleteness, untimeliness, or inaccuracy of any information that you provide.

If you make changes to your account after we complete negotiation, those changes may affect your savings and are your responsibility.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to MoneyFinder at any time if we discover or suspect that you have violated these Terms or any law.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold us harmless from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, debts, demands, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) resulting from your fraud, willful misconduct, breach of these Terms, or violation of law.

5. Permissions You Give MoneyFinder

By using MoneyFinder, you give us permission to contact your provider on your behalf, request discounts, promotions, or plan changes that lower your bill, accept offers from your provider that reduce your costs, and charge you according to the savings we secure.

We may recommend or make plan adjustments that help reduce your bill. When a change could significantly influence how your service is set up, or when your additional authorization is required to make the change, we may reach out to you for confirmation or additional input as needed.

It may be required that you give us or the provider certain details, such as account PINs or passcodes. In those cases where information is required, this information must be provided by you for the negotiation to proceed. As a condition of your receipt of service, you agree to promptly cooperate with provider requests for any information or input that must be provided directly by you.

You also give us permission to use your bill data, negotiation notes, and call insights internally to improve the service. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties. Please refer to our Privacy Policy (as updated from time to time) for more details on how we use your personal data for the service.

If you give us any feedback, recommendations, or suggestions for general improvement of MoneyFinder or our related services, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, and unrestricted right to use that feedback for our services and operations.

6. Payment Terms

You pay only if we save you money. Our fee is 50 percent of the savings we secure for you, capped at 75 dollars per bill. Bundled or hybrid bills count as one bill.

Savings are based on what the provider confirms during the negotiation. If the provider applies a discount for a limited period, your fee will reflect only that period.

If the provider does not apply the agreed changes to your next bill, you have 30 days to notify us. We will exercise commercially reasonable efforts to help resolve the issue or adjust your fee.

We may allow your payment to be spread over multiple months to help ensure you stay net positive.

Payments rendered are exclusive of any sales, excise, use, or other taxes.

7. Cancellations, Communication, and Case Management

Each bill you upload creates a separate case.

You may cancel a case at any time before we begin the negotiation call. Once the negotiation has begun, the case cannot be canceled retroactively.

If we request information and do not hear from you, we will follow up. If we receive no response for 30 to 45 days, we will automatically close the case. You may reopen the case at any time by responding with the required information.

Required verification details must be provided for negotiation to proceed.

Required verification details, such as account PINs or passcodes, must be provided for negotiation to proceed.

8. Limitations and External Factors

Savings depend on provider policies and a variety of circumstances, and you acknowledge that savings are not guaranteed.

MoneyFinder is not responsible for provider errors, delays, outages, misquotes, billing mistakes, system issues, or changes made by your provider after negotiation. We cannot control hold times, call durations, transfer requirements, supervisor availability, or provider behavior.

We will make commercially reasonable efforts, but some outcomes are outside our control. In any event we will not be responsible for any loss, liability, damage, failure, or delay caused by circumstances outside of our reasonable control, including but not limited to the acts or omissions of unaffiliated third parties. Because of this, we do not promise or guarantee any minimum amount, return, compensation, savings, or other benefit that may be available through use of MoneyFinder.

While MoneyFinder exercises commercially reasonable good faith efforts to resolve billing issues with third-party vendors, you acknowledge that MoneyFinder does not control the acts or decisions of such vendors. Also, if you violate any laws or contracts governing your interaction with these vendors, we are not responsible for any consequences of these violations (including your inability to receive the benefit of MoneyFinder services).

YOU AGREE THAT WE WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSS OR INACCURACY OF DATA, LOSS OR INTERRUPTION OF USE, COST OF PROCURING SUBSTITUTE SERVICES, OR INDIRECT, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, RELIANCE, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF MONEYFINDER, EVEN IF THOSE DAMAGES WERE REASONABLY FORESEEABLE OR IF WE WERE ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

CERTAIN JURISDICTIONS AND LAWS MANY NOT PERMIT SOME OF THE DISCLAIMERS OF LIABILITY IN THESE TERMS, IN WHICH CASE THE DISCLAIMERS WILL APPLY TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED UNDER LAW.

The MoneyFinder services and content cannot replace or substitute for the services of qualified professionals in any field. None of our services should be treated as professional tax, legal, or financial advice. You are solely responsible and accountable for your decisions, actions, and results regarding financial, tax, or legal matters, whether or not in relation to use of MoneyFinder.

9. Updates to the Service and Terms

MoneyFinder may update or improve features, tools, or internal processes at any time. If we make a material change to these Terms or add new categories of supported bills, we will notify you. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. So, please check these Terms periodically to stay informed about any updates.

10. Text Messaging and Communication Preferences

MoneyFinder may contact you by text message as part of providing the service, including for case updates, scheduling verification calls, sharing negotiation results, or requesting information needed to continue your case. By providing your phone number, you consent to receiving these messages.

You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any text we send or by contacting us through another channel. If you opt out, we will honor your request and may continue communicating with you through email instead. Some messages may still be required to complete a negotiation, and opting out may affect our ability to provide certain parts of the service.

We may send emails or other communications to you regarding your use of MoneyFinder. You consent to receiving these communications, and agree that these electronic communications are valid legal notices that satisfy any requirement of notice in writing.

12. Miscellaneous

You may not assign, subcontract, or delegate any of your rights or responsibilities under the Terms to any third party without our prior consent (whether by operation of law or any other legal method or theory). No failure or delay by us in exercising any right or remedy under these Terms will be deemed as a waiver of any such right or remedy. Any provision of the Terms that is held to be unenforceable in any jurisdiction will be ineffective only to the extent of the unenforceability of such provision, without invalidating the remaining provisions hereof, to the maximum extent permitted under applicable law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without reference to its conflict of laws principles. Except as we may expressly agree in a separate writing, these Terms are the sole agreement between you and us governing your use of MoneyFinder and supersede all other communications and understandings related to such use.
